I’m no health expert, but I’m willing to bet that those who had the most shocking results also had to undergo major adjustments in their diets. Progress videos depicted participants completing the workouts, but the majority of them didn’t show the behind-the-scenes of what they ate. The truth is, it’s not really feasible to achieve any real, visible change in such a short period of time without a drastic change in diet as well.

Yet, the very concept of a two-week “shred” program along with the myriad of progress videos and pictures that depicted “success,” whatever that means, gave me the false impression that I should have expected the same, even after just one week. Looking back, of course, how could I have seen any results? After just one week of physical exercise for less than an hour every day, it was truly ludicrous to have expected any kind of change. I started thinking that a “healthy” lifestyle just wasn’t for me, that working out wasn’t worth my time. But just over halfway through the program, I was already feeling discouraged as I was seeing no results. Motivation definitely peaked during the first couple of days. Despite the daunting idea of physical exercise, we were excited to see our own results - after all, it was just suffering for two weeks. We had seen the numerous progress pictures and Chloe Ting’s own reaction videos to successful results from her challenges. The good thing Day 7 was a resting day, so I can get my head back in the game.My friend and I decided it was time to put an end to our perpetually sedentary lifestyle that had hitherto defined our quarantine experience, and we pledged to complete the workout challenge together. Cloe Ting, these exercises make me want to both curse you out and say thank you. If I get nothing else from the summer shred, I want to at least be able to tolerate them 🙂.

But I will not give up, if anything I want to learn how to properly do these exercises and don them well. When you have them back to back, you feel like you have done the exercises a million times. It just seems that the exercises are endless especially the ab workouts. I voluntarily added myself for torture, my abs are sore and three quarters of the way in I want to give up. Don’t get me wrong I am 100% sure that’s why this is a challenge and coming in I knew I was going to get my ass kicked, but man am I regretting having started the summer shred and not the 2 week abs. All the while, I am mentally cursing out Cloe Ting for the brutal exercises she has added to the challenge. It kind of just hangs there as I do my side planks and planks and it annoys me.

Its kind of depressing actually, to have lost so much weight only to have your extra skin taunting you. It doesn’t help that I can literally see my loose skin moving all around as I am exercising.

After doing all of these and the extra upper body and arms workout I accidently added to the line up, I felt exhausted and sore all over.

I did however get my workout in, but let me tell you Day 6 of the Cloe Ting Challenge was absolutely brutal and it doesn’t help that I accidently added an extra workout the Upper Body and Arms.įor day 6 of the Summer Shred, we need to do the warm up routine, full body shred, shredded abs, abs in 2 weeks and the cooldown.

I just have to adjust to adding one extra aspect into my life. Being a mom to three boys and running a business is time consuming. I have been so busy the last few days that I haven’t been able to post.
